How to make an amigurumi cupcake

There is a birthday or special date in your nexts days?

Today I bring you the pattern and step by step of the sweetest project.

We are going to make a delicious amigurumi cupcake!

Abbreviations:

ch: chain                    slst: slip stitch

sc: single crochet         inc: increase 

Dc: Double crochet                 st: stitch

dec: decrease              FPsc: Front post single crochet

Materials:

*Wool with 3.5 mm needle recommendation. I used Lulu from Silvia ) Colors: light brown, light blue, light pink, white or linen

*2.5 mm crochet needle

*Tapestry needle

*Stitch marker

*Stuff polyester fiber

*Scissors 

Base

With ligth brown yarn

1. Magic ring (6 sc)

2. 6 inc (12 sc)

3. (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (18 sc)

4. (2 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (24 sc)

5. (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (30 sc)

6. (4 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (36 sc), 1 sl st

7. BLO 36 sc

8. 1 ch, * 1 FPsc, 1 sc* repeat** all around the row, ended with 1 slst (36 sts)

9-12. Repeat the 8 row (36 sts)

13. 1 ch, *1 FPsc, 1 inc sc* repeat ** all around the row, ended with 1 slst

14. 1 ch, *1 FPsc, 2 sc* repeat ** all around the row, ended with 1 slst (54 sts)

15. Repeat row 14 (54 sts)

Fasten off and leave a long tail to join both parts (bottom and upper part) (almost 50 cm)

Upper cupcake part

Using light blue

1. Magic ring (6 sc)

2. 6 inc (12 sc)

3. (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (18 sc)

4. (2 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (24 sc)

5. (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (30 sc)

6. (4 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (36 sc)

7. 36 sc

8-10. 36 sc

Ending with 1 slst, fasten off.

Join both parts. Using tapestry needle, by the inside face of the base, over the 14 row.

Crochet cream to decorate your cupcake

Using light blue

1. Magic ring (6 sc)

2. 6 inc (12 sc)

3. (1 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (18 sc)

4. (2 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (24 sc)

5. (3 sc, 1 inc) repeat 6 times (30 sc)

6. *5 c, down with 4 sl st over the chains, 1 slst, 1 slst, 4 ch, down with 3 sl st, ending with 1 slst*; repeat ** until the end of the row. Fasten off and leave a long tail (50 cm aprox.)

Crochet Chantilly Cream:

Using linen or withe off color

1. 37 ch

2. Start in the 2nd ch from the hook. 2 sc in every ch (70 sc)

Shape your points to resemble a chantilly cream

At the end, you can decorate your cupcake with beads, sequins, wool scraps or whatever material you want, even some pins will work nicely to decorate our cupcake, plus we can use it as a pincushion.
